Creating an attractive tar and stone driveway in Norfolk
Posted on: 19/10/2012In the second of part of our blog looking at the installation of a tar and stone driveway at Frettenham in Norfolk, we will explain how we went about installing the drive and creating the decorative wall.
In the photos from last weeks blog you could see that we brought in a mini excavator to dig out and shape the newly created turning circle in the driveway. Once dug out and flattened, a hot tar and gravel base was laid, before spreading the stone finish on top. This was completed so as to where possible seamlessly match with the existing driveway. Tar and stone finishes provide an attractive, durable and low maintenance finish to any property.
As part of the work we also installed a new 4ft high reinforced wall, which fades away following the rise of the driveway. We also replaced the old wall around the turning circle which was in poor condition. The driveway will be completed in the near future with the installation of a set of automatic entrance gates.
