Installing brickweave driveway paving blocks

In last weeks blog we showed the start of a job we were working on for a customer in Gorleston on Sea in Norfolk. The customer had asked us to install brickweave driveway paving blocks to create an attractive drive for the front of their property.

The ground for our driveway installations is prepared using a mini excavator to dig out the area of the proposed new drive. On to this we lay a concrete base so the driveway can be installed with a strong foundation. This helps to ensure our driveways have a long lifespan and saves you from costly expense caused by loose or subsided bricks. For this driveway the customer chose charcoal coloured, Alpha Antique paving blocks which were laid upon a thin sand screed.

As a finishing touch to the new driveway, we were also asked to replace the fencing panels with a new brick wall to match the existing wall at the front of the property.
