Either way we can incorporate a purpose built barbecue that will keep you burning sausages well into the autumn. Remember, just because it is black on the outside, doesn’t mean it is cooked in the middle!

Fountain

It is said that if you throw two coins in the Trevi Fountain in Rome then one day you will return to that city. This is a double boost for the Italian tourist board as they get twice the money that your average fountain generates and they plant the seed of the idea of your return. On a smaller scale, perhaps you could encourage guests at your next barbecue to throw money into a water feature.

Chess Board

Is there a games lover in the family? We can incorporate a giant chess board into the pattern of your patio. Obviously, this eight-by-eight square pattern can be used to play chess or draughts, but did you know there are over a hundred games you can play on a chessboard?

Planters and Raised Beds

Take some of the backache out of gardening with a raised bed. If you are planning on growing vegetables or plants that prefer free-draining soil, raised beds can be left open at the bottom.
